It is common for people to start thinking about identity theft protection after they went through the unforgetable experience. Questions are always on our mind asking why, as I have used proper licensed security software, firewall etcs.
The first starting point is to keep your identity with you when needed. Place them in a safe place when there is no use. On the Internet, the same principle applies. You don’t disclose your identity until you are absolutely required. Prevention to expose your identity is always better than the fix.
